Can you clean both glass and polycarbonate conservatory roofs?

Yes. Glass gets purified water and soft brushes. Polycarbonate needs lower pressure and UV-safe products to avoid crazing. We tailor the method to your roof type.

How much light does a dirty conservatory roof block?

Algae, dirt, and hard water deposits can cut light by up to 30%. Most customers notice a dramatic difference in brightness straight after cleaning.

Can you remove hard water marks from conservatory glass?

Yes. Somerset's hard water leaves stubborn mineral deposits. We pre-treat with a specialist descaler and rinse with heated purified water. Heavy staining may need more than one pass.

How do you stop moss and algae coming back?

We apply a biocide treatment after cleaning that keeps growth dormant for 6 to 9 months. Clearing surrounding gutters and trimming overhanging branches also slows regrowth.

Is it safe to walk on a conservatory roof?

No, panels and glazing bars are not designed to take body weight. We clean from the ground using reach-and-wash poles, so nobody needs to stand on the roof.

How often should a conservatory roof be cleaned?

Every 6 to 12 months for glass, every 3 to 6 months for polycarbonate. Shaded conservatories or those under trees need more frequent attention.
