How do I know if my gutters are blocked?
Water spilling over the edge during rain is the clearest sign. Damp patches on walls, dripping joints, or plants growing from the gutter all mean they need clearing.
How often should gutters be cleaned?
Twice a year: once in late autumn after leaf fall, and again in spring. Properties with overhanging trees may need an extra mid-year check.
How do you clean gutters?
We clear gutters with a high-powered vacuum pole, working from the ground. It reaches up to three storeys, so there is no ladder work and we never go up on the roof or risk your tiles.
Why should gutters be cleared before winter?
Somerset gets its heaviest rainfall between October and March. Blocked gutters cause damp walls, stained brickwork, and rotting fascia boards. Clearing them in autumn prevents costly repairs.

Yes. Whichever name you use, gutter cleaning here means removing the leaves, moss, and debris from inside the gutters so water flows freely. Washing the outside of the gutters, fascias, and soffits so they look smart from the street is a separate service, and we offer both.
